Product Description:
Burettes can be divided into three types: acid burettes, alkaline burettes, and tetrafluoro burettes. Acid buret has a glass piston at the lower end, which can be filled with acidic or oxidizing buret, but not alkaline buret, because alkaline buret can make the piston and the piston sleeve adhesion, difficult to turn. Alkaline buret is used to hold alkaline solution, its lower end connected to a rubber tube, rubber tube with glass beads in order to control the solution outflow, the lower end of the rubber tube and then connected to a pointed glass tube. Any solution that can react with the rubber tube, such as potassium permanganate, iodine and other solutions can not be loaded into the alkaline buret.
Product Features:
1. Before conducting titration experiments, use distilled water for sealing test, no leakage before use.
2. Acid buret is glass piston, alkaline buret is rubberized glass bead piston, only acid buret can be used for acidic reagents, alkaline buret can be used for alkaline reagents, no mixing.
3. When adding reagents to the buret, the scale/label is facing towards the palm of the hand (applicable to all glass containers with scales).
4. The burette should be moistened with reagent 1-3 times before the start of the titration to minimize the error.
5. The burette needs to be cleaned in time after the completion of the use to avoid the reagents corroding the burette and affecting its accuracy, and to avoid the mutual influence of reagents between different experiments.
6. The buret must not be heated.
7. The temperature of the buret should be room temperature (20°C), which is labeled above the body of the tube.
8. The buret should be used vertically, otherwise the reading will be inaccurate.
9. The rubber tube of the alkaline buret can be replaced, and after replacement, it should be rinsed with distilled water to avoid impurities in the production process of the rubber tube affecting the experiment.

Precautions:
1. It must be noted that there should be no bubbles at the lower end of the burette. Quickly dispensing the liquid can drive away the bubbles in the acid burette; gently lift the pointed glass tube and squeeze the glass ball with your fingers to drive away the bubbles in the alkaline burette.
2. Acid burettes must not be used to hold alkaline solutions, because the ground part of the glass is easily corroded by the alkaline solution, making the stopper unable to rotate.
3. Alkaline burettes are not suitable for containing solutions that are corrosive (strongly oxidizing or acidic) to rubber tubes, such as iodine, potassium permanganate, silver nitrate and hydrochloric acid.
4. The burette is different from the measuring cylinder. Its readings change from small to large from top to bottom.
5. The buret should be washed immediately after use.
