Microscope Slide Usage:

 

1.Set up your microscope on a flat surface and connect it to a power source if it has an illuminator.

2.Hold the microscope slide by the edges and place it on the microscope stage, ensuring the cover slip is on top. Adjust the slide so that the specimen is in the center, right under the objective lens.

3.Start with the objective lens with the smallest magnification. Lower the lens as close as possible to the slide without making contact, using the coarse adjustment knobs. Use the microscope stage to control the process, especially with high-powered objectives.

4.Look through the eyepiece and slowly lift the objective lens away from the specimen using the coarse adjustment knobs until the image is in focus. Fine-tune the focus using the fine adjustment mechanism.

5.If you need to change the magnification, turn the revolving nosepiece to select a more powerful objective lens. Repeat step 3 with the new lens.
