The Use Method of Nasal Airway Kit:

1. Choose the right disposable oropharyngeal airway tube: The oropharyngeal vent tube mainly prevents the back of the tongue from blocking the airway and maintains the opening of the airway. Therefore, the length of the oropharyngeal vent should be equal to the length of the incisor to the mandibular Angle, because the appropriate length may affect the subsequent placement.

2. Into the mouth: open the patient's mouth, use the tongue retractor to lift the tongue, so that the root of the tongue away from the pharyngeal wall. At this time, the oropharyngeal vent tube can be placed into the mouth. Generally, when the distance to the end is only 1~2CM from the incisor, the front end of the vent tube reaches the posterior pharyngeal wall.

3. After it is placed at the base of the tongue: hold the jaw with both hands and ensure that the base of the tongue leaves the back wall of the pharynx, the oropharyngeal ventilation tube is continued into the 2CM, so that the curved section of the ventilation canal is located behind the base of the tongue. After placement, the oropharyngeal vent should be fixed, the jaw should be relaxed, and the tongue or lip should be checked for any tongue or lip sandwiched between the incisor and the vent.
