Introduction and Key Features of Inoculation Loop

Introduction:

Disposable sterile inoculating loops are made of medical-grade polystyrene plastic, available in standard 1μL and 10μL calibrated loop sizes, each pre-sterilized by gamma irradiation and individually sealed to guarantee an aseptic operating environment without repeated flame sterilization. The smooth, burr-free circular loop head holds fixed volume microbial samples accurately, while the slender flexible shaft fits narrow test tubes, slant culture media and petri dishes perfectly. Designed for single use only, they eliminate cross-contamination risks compared to reusable metal loops, widely adopted in microbiology labs, hospital clinical testing, food safety inspection, school teaching and pharmaceutical microbial identification for streaking plates, colony picking, liquid culture transfer and quantitative microbial counting.

Key Features:

- Pre-sterilized, ready for immediate use without extra disinfection

- Precise 1μL / 10μL loop volume for consistent quantitative inoculation

- Smooth non-adhesive surface prevents microbial residue loss

- Flexible thin shaft compatible with all standard lab culture vessels

- Disposable design avoids metal wire corrosion and repeated flaming steps

- Non-toxic, biologically inert material with no interference to microbial growth

Operation Instruction:

Tear open the sterile package, grip the plastic handle without touching the calibrated loop head, dip the loop into microbial suspension or touch single bacterial colonies to collect fixed-volume inoculum, then streak evenly on agar plates or transfer samples into liquid culture medium, and discard the entire rod after finishing all operations.
